Technology Will Save Your Soul

Man, I LOVE that album cover!

A new mix I made this Saturday, April 26, in the Year of Our Lord 2008. Right click on song titles, choose "Save Target As..." to download the high quality mp3!

1. Love Is an Unfamiliar Name, The Duke Spirit--Oh man, what a great rock song...seriously, get into these guys.
2. Unavailable, Papercuts--this has been out since 02/07, but I just got it. It's cute.
3. Maybe You Can Owe Me, Architecture In Helsinki--These guys write lots of cute songs.
4. Tiny Apocalypse, David Byrne--GREAT song. David Byrne is the man. A clear vision of life in the 2000s (which, I've said before, will go down in history as "Worst Decade Ever").
5. Morning Bell, Radiohead--The good version, from Kid A. Goes nicely with "Tiny Apocalypse," and also makes this mix because Alex and I are gonna see them in August! The title of this mix comes from these two songs, somehow.
6. All I Got Is Me, Spoon--A Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga B-side. Melikey.
7. Hiphopopotamus Vs. Rhymenocerous, Flight of the Conchords--Oh man, too funny.
8. Chosen One, The Concretes--The Concretes are a great band, although (I think?) they broke up now. This song smooths out so nicely into the chorus, it makes me happy. And the lyrics are definately from the Steve Goerger school of love.
9. Foux Du Fafa, Flight of the Conchords--My favorite Conchords song. Like I tell everyone, it's like they sat down and thought of all the french words they could remember from high school, and then made a song from them. Voila!
10. Red Rubber Ball, The Cyrkle--Remember this song? It's catchy. I like how they spell their band name...the 60s were radical in every single way, I guess.
11. La Conchita, The Rustlanders--Just a nice alt-country song...I admit it's a little out of place on this album, but I'm slipping it in (that's what she said! Heehee).
12. Someone, Astrid Wiliamson--This song is cool for the new-age rain and thunder sounds, and the pretty voice too.
13. Warm Night, The Concretes--More goodness from these guys.
14. All the World Is Green, Tom Waits--Unbelievably, this is the first Tom Waits song I've ever purchased. It was used in the film The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, which Katy and I saw the other night. I highly recommend the film (also the book), and this is the song that stayed with me from it.
15. Come Sail Away, Styx--I don't know why, it's just been in my head lately. (The Cartman version is getting equal time in my brain...listen to that here.)
